Summary/Highlights:
This is a discussion to annually elect the Chair and Co-Chair positions of the Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board. The last election held for the Board was in August 2023.
Background:
At this time, there is no language as of yet in the City LDC to regulate the board elections for Chair and Co-Chair. Staff is currently working revisions to the LDC to resolve this to ensure there is a formal process; however, with thee being no regulations in place, there are no official term limits for the Chair and Co-Chair.
The current Chair of the PZA Board is Carl Lilavois and the current Co-Chair is Gary Masten. Carl Lilavois has been a member of the PZA Board since May 8, 2017. Gary Masten has been a member of the PZA Board since May 11, 2020.
Staff Recommendation:
There is no recommendation as this is a discussion between board members to elect a new Chair and Co-Chair or re-elect the current members.
